My "Bolger Brick" Sail/Rowboat

Welcome to My "Bolger Brick" Page.
I built this Boat in May of 2004. It took
about three weeks to finnish. It was very
easy to build. I taught Myself how to Sail
in this Boat.

Bolger Brick

In the Photo above My Daughter and
I are enjoying a nice Sail at Harts Basin
in Colorado. The Boat is very Stable and
Sails well too.

Coming in for a Landing

AHHH! "The Life Of Riley"

Experimental Sail #1.
This worked okay so I built the next Sail.

This is the competed "Sharpie Sprit Sail"
It worked Very Well but at 94 Square feet it
was a little hard to handle when the Wind came
up. I buried the Bow a couple of times going
downwind-OOPS! Pitch Poling would not be any
Fun at all!

I went back to the "Balanced Lug Sail"
And feel much better Now. Since these Photos
were taken I have added "Lazy Jacks" Which
really help when lowering and raising the Sail.
{Keeps the Boom off My Head}

OOOPS!! I'll know better than to leave My
mast up next time I go somewhere!A low hanging
Tree Branch took it down for Me!
